from what i've heard from my friends, when you get to 100th post, you have to do a '100 things you don't know about me' post. but since it was an appreciation post, i've decided to write a few paragraphs about myself and the reason why i've made this blog on my 101th.
i was born in jakarta, indonesia, on june 10, 1987. being the youngest of four, i was an odd child with somehow a strong interest in art as i drew pictures (which are mostly skinny figured women) on pages of my notebook. growing up with my mother who loves to dress up and a sister who had an obsession with pop culture, my attention to the world of drawing/illustration became more detailed. i like to observe them mix and match things like clothes, shoes and accesories.
during my college years, i started to put more attention on art. i spent my spare time learning about the history of art and later on my curiousity to fashion grew. i realized how art and fashion pretty much connected. i am fascinated by victorian & edwardian eras and the way people dressed themself during that period of time. i learned more about designers and their creation. i also gained the knowledge of how fashion can have impacts on various cultures. that is pretty much the beginning of what i've become now.
from the very beginning, i want this blog to be personal, my own place where i can share things that i've learned in my life. i want to share my thoughts and stories. i want to share my creation & other people's creation. this is not a fashion blog, so you will not find pictures of myself flaunting my clothes, shoes and bags. trend reviews or runway updates are also none to be found here (you can find those information from other blogs). i rather post things that are inspirational, hoping that they can make other people be happy and inspired.
